EGGUN Ancestor Procession
The processionals are beautiful community rituals that honor the lives of the enslaved who’s burial sites are often forgotten. Each journey offers a healing balm to heavy hearts and the difficult history of enslavement. These spaces are a place to share love and respect for those who endured a life of forced servitude. We gather to pray, sing, dance, wail, and shout as we hold the old souls in the highest regard. We create spaces filled with deep appreciation, beauty, and integrity.
